About Copp
Headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Copp was founded in 1989 and is a leading provider of intermodal, less-than-truckload (LTL), and full truckload (FTL) transportation services with a primary coverage area within 300 miles of St. Louis. Additionally, Copp has operated as a Container Freight Station (CFS) since 1994 and as a Centralized Exam Station (CES) of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection since 2001. Since inception 35 years ago, the Company has developed a strong reputation for quality and reliability. In large part, the Company’s outstanding recognition in its primary coverage area drives steady and recurring demand for intermodal and LTL delivery services with virtually no sales or marketing efforts. Travis Greene, owner and CEO, was interested in a buyer who could bring new capabilities, a larger service footprint and sales and marketing resources to the table to help continue the growth of the business into the future. Upon closing the transaction, Travis said "We are excited to partner with the WSI team and we look forward to the next chapter of growth in Copp’s story. We are grateful to all those employees who have played a vital role in getting the company where it is today, and we look forward to exciting things ahead. WSI was represented in the transaction by investment bankers Wofford and Associates.
